For you lovers of lots of risk with the potential for much greater reward, the Direxion 3x leveraged ETF’s may be right up your rally.  Since debuting in 2008 they have proven to be extremely popular, particularly with shorter term traders looking for a good hedging instrument or just a good old fashioned day trade.  Granted, there is considerable risk such as the fact they are leveraged 3x and the performance deteriorates over time in a non trending market.  That is they amplify returns on a daily basis only using complex financial instruments such as swaps and futures which are reset each day.  Over time, in a non-trending volatile market, returns can deviate quite a bit from the underlying index.  Suffice it to say that these are not buy and hold investments and should only be used by experienced traders who are able to monitor the market closely. <\/p>\n
